Newly renovated cottage right on the Delaware River with direct river access and prime fishing and bird watching spots. River view from every room.
"Nestles high on the bank of Delaware River stood a wooden shack. Despite its humble composition, the shack commands a panoramic view of the rushing water below.
One day a couple bought it. They set out to restore the cabin to a state fitting for its idyllic location and placement. They named the shack “Lazy River Cottage”. Someday, they want to live there, simply and joyfully. They picture spending their days fishing, reading, drinking sweet sun tea, lounging on the wraparound deck and looking at the glimmering river through the rustling leaves.
At dusk, they would enjoy a cozy meal in the candle light. After dark, they huddle around the fire table, gazing up a starry sky searching for the International Space Station.
When it rains, they would put a record on the turntable, light the fireplace, sit on the sofa by the windows and hear the water dripping through the branches of chestnut trees above…
So, before Lazy River is turned into a full time residence, you are invited to come and stay. Come and share the sublime and ever-changing scenery that nature has provided. Summary: Luckily this cottage was available for us. This was a last minute trip & David was very accommodating to our requests. Communication was excellent. The cottage is cozy & beautifully decorated. Waking to the sounds of the River & watching the sunrise were some of my favorite moments. If you’re looking for a secluded retreat, this is it!

Summary: The cabin and the view are amazing. David goes above and beyond as a host in the thoughtfulness of amenities, such as night lights, tissues, etc. Sitting by the fire by the river is so therapeutic! Beautiful hiking trails nearby as well. Overall, an excellent experience and we hope to come back some day.

Summary: My wife and I were traveling back from visiting family in Pittsburgh to our home in Cape Cod. Lazy River Cottage is the mid-point. We went on VBRO to searching for a property and this one appealed to us. Wow, Wow, Wow….what a location (on the banks of the Delaware River)…it is private and tranquil. The cottage has all the modern conveniences and well appointed. We absolutely loved this property and will definitely be back.

Summary: Owner thought of everything! Besides stocking the fridge, the amenities were top notch effort and planning. We sat and played games and talked in front of the picturesque view. The fireplace and sound system was a huge hit and helped set the mood.

Summary: Went hoping to get away from it all... That was an understatement. The view was excellent, the cottage is just what the doctor ordered. Still well withing a simple drive to ANYTHING you need. The warmer months should bolster the feeling of tranquility. Great spot for sure
